Should We Burn the Horse Industry Down?

If you’ve been hanging around in my world for a while you’ve no doubt heard me talk about burning the equine industry down in order to build better lives for horses.

And while my inner rebel yelled, “Burn it down and set the horses free!” My inner wise woman encouraged me to look at all the perspectives before lighting any matches.

I have spent a lot of time in contemplation of this on my own, as well as in conversation with colleagues, peers and industry professionals who have dedicated their work to equine welfare and advocacy.

But in all my research and reflections, the one perspective I hadn’t sought was the horse industry’s itself. 

So I connected with the energy of the horse industry and asked it for its own insights on whether or not we should burn it down and start anew. And I share those messages with you inside this episode.
