My friends, this episode has been two years in the making! And so I am absolutely thrilled to finally share this beautiful and insightful conversation with my dear friend, colleague and brilliant woman, Hillary Schneider.
I have spoken about Hillary on the podcast many times before as she has been an incredibly important mentor on my journey through horse medicine. But what you may not know is that Hillary is also an extremely gifted business coach who has supported me and many other women through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
Hillary and I came together to speak about building intuitive relationships with our businesses and share about our upcoming collaboration, the Business Energetics Mastermind.
In this episode we speak on following our intuition to flow with wants to be created through us, and how to trust in our messages so we can allow the path to unfold in its own divine timing.
We also talk about the importance of making space to be receptive so that we can then allow the wisdom of our business to energize us into action as opposed to creating from a place of should or fear or force. And the importance of this practice so that we don’t unintentionally fill the space that is actually the fertile ground for cultivating what wants to move through us.
We chat about tapping into the sacredness of our business and creating from that space, which helps us deepen into our purpose and allows our work to become even more fulfilling, and so much more.
If you are a purpose-led entrepreneur who is interested in cultivating an intuitive and regenerative relationship with your business, this conversation is for you!Business Energetics MastermindBook A Human Design + Astrology Foundation ReadingConnect with Hillary:Instagram: @hillaryeponawww.hillaryschneider.comConnect with Angela:Instagram: @equineelevationwww.equineelevation.com

I’m really excited to share this recent conversation I had with the beautiful soul who is Janie Roberts of Wild Horse Circle.
While Janie and I had an initial topic for this episode, we ultimately decided to abandon it and just go with the flow of whatever life presented us. And I’m so glad we did!
Janie shares about her work and journey on the path of the horse, as well as the many other studies and guides she brings into not just Wild Horse Circle but her embodied life.
But we discuss so much more!
This conversation was as wild and free-flowing as Janie herself. We moved through so many topics including the wisdom of horses, her early childhood connections with Mother Nature and how that has evolved through her life and work, her studies of anthropology and other cultures, the many paths of spirituality and spiritual studies, the importance of nervous system regulation and the various tools and techniques she has experienced to support that.
We also talked about plant medicine and psychedelic assisted therapies, what it means to create the sacred space of home for humans and horses in relationship to nature and our evolutionary paths, the balance of honouring who we are and our personal desires while being in true partnership and co-creation with our horses. How having healthy outlets to express ourselves ultimately allow us to build more authentic relationships with our horses, misconceptions of the healing journey, the importance of community and, if you can imagine it, so much more!
It was such a pleasure to be in conversation with Janie and receive the gift of her lovely energy and insights.

Get ready for a fantastic episode with my guest, equine bodyworker, saddle fitter and educator, Holly Barnett!
Holly became a professional in the equine industry straight out of high school. She began her professional journey as an equine bodyworker practicing massage therapy and quickly noticed the patterns of dysfunction caused by improper saddle fit.
In classic Holly form, she decided she needed to understand what she was seeing and dove straight into the deep end to become a certified saddle fitter.
Holly shares how she learned to blend all of her bodywork and saddle fitting knowledge to create an incredibly positive and impactful experience for both her horse and human clients.
I had so much fun exploring how Holly brings her approach to equine sovereignty into her practice and into her educational programs. I’m so grateful to her for sharing so many important insights gleaned from her decades of working with thousands of horses as well as her own personal development journey within her professional life and with her own horses.Holly has also generously offered a free gift of a coherence technique to help you connect with your horse on a seller level. You can receive this beautiful gift here.

In this episode I share some personal explorations and lessons I have learned from my experiences of having deep familial connections with horses.
Of course so many of us who have cultivated deep bonds with horses consider them to be family, myself included.
But there was a point in time when these connections became unhealthy for myself and my herd, and my horses asked me to look at the reasons why so I could do my personal work and shift the dysfunctional dynamics.
Join me as I share my personal history with horses as family and the wisdom my herd shared that supported me in moving through the shadows I held around family so we could arrive at a place of building healthy and harmonious relationship anchored in unconditional love, respect and celebration of our unique differences.

I’m excited to share this really cool conversation about holistic healing with Meredith Barrett of Remuda Bodyworks. I was so curious to chat with Meredith about her experiences of living remotely with horses in what feels to me like the quintessential country life on a working cattle ranch. Meredith shares her journey of how homeopathy empowered her to support the health of her horses, her family and her clients in a natural and holistic way.Meredith is passionate about helping horses heal through a holistic approach that is centred around solving the root cause to see positive and lasting changes in all aspects of the horse’s life, including his/her ability and willingness to step into training and ridden work.We spoke of the importance of supporting the horse’s gut and how gut damage can cascade out into all other areas of the horse’s life.We also spoke about why cattle work can be beneficial for horses physically, mentally and emotionally. As well as the holistic and individual approach she takes to keep her working cattle horses feeling their best and supporting them as willing partners in their work on the farm.Meredith also offered insight on the Chinese Five Elements system for horses and how we can use these personality archetypes to more deeply understand our horses and find ways to train them in the most aligned way. She also shared how the different types express or suppress emotions and the ways that can manifest physically. Join us for a conversation that was full of interesting information and perspectives on some of the many facets of working with and creating partnerships with horses in a holistic way that is often mutually beneficial and healing for both horse and human.

If you’ve been hanging around in my world for a while you’ve no doubt heard me talk about burning the equine industry down in order to build better lives for horses. And while my inner rebel yelled, “Burn it down and set the horses free!” My inner wise woman encouraged me to look at all the perspectives before lighting any matches.I have spent a lot of time in contemplation of this on my own, as well as in conversation with colleagues, peers and industry professionals who have dedicated their work to equine welfare and advocacy. But in all my research and reflections, the one perspective I hadn’t sought was the horse industry’s itself. So I connected with the energy of the horse industry and asked it for its own insights on whether or not we should burn it down and start anew. And I share those messages with you inside this episode. Enjoy this trip down an esoteric rabbit hole!Embodied Equestrian Mentorship InfoConnect with AngelaEquine Elevation Instagramwww.equinelevation.com

Friends, I am so happy to bring this episode to you! This has been a year in the making and the stars finally aligned for us to record this beautiful conversation around permission-based bodywork.

Caren Dougall is a fellow Certified Equi-Bow Practitioner and Instructor, cherished colleague and dear friend who holds a special place in my heart for so many reasons.

It was so wonderful to have this conversation with such an experienced, knowledgable and compassionate horsewoman and professional.

Caren and I explored the question what does equine body sovereignty look like through the lens of a bodywork practitioner?

How do we walk the path of permission-based bodywork with a variety of horses and humans at different stages of their journeys?

What does it mean to have a whole horse approach to equine care? And how do we co-create care solutions with our clients and personal horses?

You don’t have to be an equine professional to find value in this episode, but if you are, you may find some absolute gold in this episode you can take into your practice regardless of your area of expertise.

Let's start with some real talk. This episode was uncomfortable for me to record because the topic is a bit of a doozy. But my horses have been asking me to speak on this for a while and so I couldn't put it off any longer.

It is very common for humans to derive their sense of self-worth and identity from their horses, but the truth is that our self-worth can't be found from any external source. And when this pattern is left running unconsciously in our lives it can create serious and negative impacts on our horses.

Join me for an exploration of the ways humans derive their self-worth through horses and the invitation my horses offer to heal this pattern within us.

Welcome to the first episode of our special Equine Body Sovereignty Miniseries.
Body sovereignty is a topic we feel is extremely important to discuss in its many facets and so this season we are bringing in guests from different corners of the horse world to offer their perspectives on the subject.
Our first episode in the series is with our dear friend and animal communicator, Brittany Ashworth of Sacred Echos.
In this episode, Brittany shares her experiences with how horses express their needs regarding body sovereignty in communication sessions.
She also shares insights on soul contracts––what they are, how they work and how they relate to our day to day lives with horses, the lessons we are here to learn with one another, and a bigger perspective on what is happening when horses transition.
We also talk about how contracts relate to choice and voice in the sense of body sovereignty––especially in regards to when it is a horse’s time to transition.
We discuss how we can offer support through the lens of consent and honouring the horses wishes when it comes to their bodies, as well as the impact of the very human tendency toward physical perfection from the horse’s lens and what those physical issues can teach us.
This conversation was a joy to have and Brittany offers so much wisdom and insight from what horses have taught her in her practice as a communicator and in her life as a horsewoman.
This one is not to be missed!Connect with BrittanyEquine Elevation Instagramwww.equineelevation.com

Meet Your Host, Angela Saieva

Horses are my life.

When I reflect on my time with them, I barely recognize the person I began this journey as.

Horses have been my greatest catalysts and inspiration for my own personal growth and evolution. They saw a potential within me of the type of human and horsewoman I could be, and they encourage me every day to step more fully into that role.

Horses have shown me the path to opening myself back up to my intuition and my innate gifts. They have been a reconnection point not only to myself, but all the living beings who are interconnected through life on Earth.

Horses have shared their immense wisdom and capacity for love with me. And through this, we have co-created meaningful lives together that are filled with purpose. Each day we work together toward expanding our individual consciousnesses. And through our individual work, we add to the expansion of the collective consciousness of both horses and humans.

The horses have asked me to use my voice to speak on their behalf. To share their wisdom with others. To walk the path of true partnership. To be an example of what that life can look like. To help others who deeply desire to walk this path as well–those who know within their hearts there is a better way, a more joyful way, a more purposeful way to live a life alongside these extraordinary animals.

To create spaces for the healing, expansion and evolution of horses and their humans, which is the intention behind Sovereign Horse.
